It all started in 1952 across the street from the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. George W. Church Sr. had a vision — serve the crispiest, most flavorful fried chicken at a price every family could afford. With a small fryer, a whole lot of heart, and a secret blend of spices, he opened the very first Church's Chicken.
Word spread fast. Families lined up for that signature crunch, that golden skin, that juicy bite. By the 1970s, Church's had grown into one of the most recognized names in American fast food. Today, with locations across the United States and beyond, we continue to honor that original recipe while boldly innovating for the next generation of chicken lovers.
